I can’t say that I was blown away by this movie. Even though it’s not in theatres until Jan. 11, you have all seen this movie many, many times before. There is nothing redeeming about a copy of a copy of a copy of a movie you saw the last time your girlfriend drug you to one. I have no problem with the genre, per se. But something new would have been nice.
Katherine Heigl made strides to shake her Grey’s Anatomy cloak in Knocked Up, but this is two steps back, if there ever was. And Ed Burns doing mainstream? I didn’t know he was that hard up for cash. A Fathead.com sticker of Ed Burns would have been just as effective as the real person in this movie.
No edge, whatsoever. Straight forward, romatic comedy drivel.
The only reality present in this movie is the kind that exists solely in romantic comedies. Which is to say none.
