Production quality is high for a documentary…it’s actually compelling to watch— kind of a cross between 20/20 TV show and FRONTLINE….

Chris Paine is a fine director who gives you the feeling of being on the inside of what really happened here between the Green movement and the auto industry and politics/legislation. I started to have an emotional tie in to the electric car and the people who worked to sell it to those brave early pioneers of ECO driving. This is not a Roger Moore expose rather a nudge at the world who let the cars pass by. Wikipedia says Paine is going to produce a second doc called "Who Saved the Electric Car" -- probably focusing on hybrids is my guess. I know some of the people who produced this film and they are all well-meaning and savvy about what really went down with the death of these cars. The 'funeral' of the cars is almost poignant....great movie for rainy day when you're watching a few movies and want a break from heavy drama!
