Fun for the kids, tedious for the rest of us. Lots of action and special effects make a nonsensical plot tolerable. The movie invokes a sense of pride over an elite paramilitary group with roots in the Army, now transplanted to fight evil forces and crazed people turned to the dark side.
Purely driven by the scripts given to them. Even Dennis Quaid couldn’t manage to stand out in this film. However, there was a bright-spot with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as “Heavy Duty” who came across with a sort of Chris Rock like sense of humor.
Nice job with the special effects and action scenes. Things kept moving at a good clip, and the kids seemed very entertained.
Regarding MetalJunky5000’s Review
Good review man. Yeah, this movie’s stupid, but it’s a lot of fun, lol. Gordon-Levitt was great in this. But, you forgot about Ray Park as Snake Eyes. He was an EXCELLENT CHOICE!!!
