Summary - Perfect 5.0

One of the most original stories I’ve seen in recent years. This is by far the best sci-fi movie I’ve seen since Terminator 2. I would definitely consider this to be this generation’s Alien. It’s shocking, suspenseful, and all around brilliant. The main story takes place in South Africa. Back in 1982, an alien ship came here to Earth and landed in that area. The aliens who board the ship don’t mean any harm, their ship just ran out of fuel. They’re basically just treating Earth as a rest stop ‘til they can get their ship going again. At first, the humans don’t mind. But after all these years, the humans are fed up and decide to do their best do get them out of there. The movie has an excellent message and a great plot. The whole film feels authentic, realistic, and cool. Whether you are a fan of the genre, aliens, or Peter Jackson, this is a must see for all.

Acting - Perfect 5.0

The cast is mainly made up of unknown actors whom of which I have never heard of. The best actor is our main character, Wikus. All he wants to do is help the aliens, and in the third act the whole film is just hinging on his brilliant performance.

Film - Perfect 5.0

I can not believe this was filmed on a mere budget of $30, 000, 000. Any person who’s reviewed this film before me will say that this looks like a $100, 000, 000 epic. The special effects are beyond amazing. Not once in the whole movie was I thinking “That is so fake.” The dialogue is very realistic. Whenever someone is getting killed or hurt, you feel like you’re standing in front of them watching it happen before your own eyes.
