A wickedly smart story that is provocative in a unique way. It’s that film where you remain up for night after night wondering…pondering…questioning everything about life. What if? That’s the question you’ll ask. “Have you ever had a dream you were so sure was real?”
Almost top-notch acting. Hugo Weaving, Lawrence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, and of course, Keanu Reeves offer terrific acting.
A brilliant film with a brilliant cast. The visual effects go above-and-beyond any movie made at that time. That is no exaggeration.
Gun and martial arts violence are peppered throughout the film. Some surreal and frightening sequences.
Potentially possible. Every fight scene, however is totally unrealistic.
Regarding moviedude’s Review
Good review Dude. I’d like to rescreen Matrix and review it myself. I recall being impressed that it was the first movie to effectively present real and virtual worlds with people moving between them. This came to mind again recently when watching Avatar, which pulled off the same trick, perhaps by stealing some of the Matrix’s techniques.
