Drama with welcome bouts of humor, this thoroughly entertaining story film has a story that seems innocuous on the surface, but instead quickly shows us via suburban parents how people can lose their way and need to grow up and be adults. Enjoy the intense interactions, LOL moments, pendulum swinging drama, great film-making, and award worthy acting.
Stellar performances from Winslett who does remarkably well as an American housewife.
Very appealing visually with great use of a deep focus on characters and representing their thoughts. Loved the narration in the first half of the movie, but the transition away from it made sense as well.
