Eek! Though I wasn’t expecting anything truely amazing from a mere popcorn flick, this reboot of the classic 1981 film Clash of the Titans proved to be oh so dissapointing. Then again, to quote Richard Roeper, “I don’t think you can use the words ‘Classic’ and ‘Harry Hamlin’ in the same sentence.” Gotta love Richard. This was a mere borefest with some fancy schmancy CGI thrown in there. However, the only decent CGI and the “I’ve seen it before” action scenes didn’t do much for me and left me bored the whole time.
The plot to Clash of the Titans 2010 goes a little like this: The humans are sick and tired of the Gods’ bs and decide to stand up againt them. The Gods, in defiance, decide to send a plague of disasters upon the humans. Most notably, a giant monster called the Kraken. But again, the humans stand up for themselves. Lead by Perseus, the demigod son of Zeus, they go on a journey to chop off the head of Medusa and they face numerous obsticles along the way.
Clash of the Titans was never meant to be anything truely special. All I truely wanted was a fun little 90 mins of eye candy where I could turn my brain off and go along for the ride. But, sadly, this was nowhere close to being fun. RELEASE THE ANGRY VIEWER!!!
The acting wasn’t anything truely special. Though I do believe Sam Worthington to be a great young talent, he just didn’t do anything for me in this one. The only two actors who truely shined were Ralph Fiennes(as Hades) and Liam Neeson(as Zeus). The rest of the cast did alright with what they were given.
Its aaalllll gods and monsters, people.
Haha, its worth a try : )

“RELEASE THE ANGRY VIEWER!!!” :-)
Think we could get Liam Neeson to deliver that in his Zeus voice?
