Summary - Really Great 4.5

Awesome crime/drama from Woody Allen! What is one of man’s biggest motivation for money? Yeah, you got it. Women. Colin Farrel (Terry) and Ewan McGregor (Ian) are brothers that face one of the male-life’s biggest challenges – how to live (and love) in the good life. The lengths that they go through and the strain that places on them is the fodder for this fantastic film. What a great find!

Acting - Great 4.0

Ewan McGregor and Collin Farrell show equally adept acting skills as two brothers that are freaked out about committing a serious crime. There was a genuine brotherly chemistry between them. Great range and emotion from both of them. Haley Atwell is a hot love interest of Ewan’s. Tom Wilkinson is always a treat to see – this time as the big-daddy who needs help himself.

Film - Perfect 5.0

Masterfully written and directed by Woody Allen. The story is stellar, the casting lives up to the high bar the story deserves. Not only is there the tension and build-up of the crime, but the drama and emotion of dealing with its aftermath – and a knockout punch of a finish. Kudos Mr Allen!
