Not as entertaining as the first film and the plot had a couple of moments where it came a little to close to breaking my suspension of disbelief but overall I still really enjoyed Iron Man 2. Pretty much the main thing I liked was that Tony Strak had a seriously heavy issue to deal with. Having cheated death in the first film, he instead finds himself having to deal with his own moraltity in the form of his robot heart literaly pumping death through his veins. I mean yes, its an excuse for a so called genius to do some stupid (and for the marketing department, toy creating) things, but its also something everyone has to face, and on a thematic level it really spoke to me and inhanced my enjoyemnt of the otherwise solid action blockbuster. Again not as good as the first film, but not the massive drop in quality a few people claimed it was either.
Regarding Snackula’s Review
Tough but fair, Snackula, and especially well argued.
Regarding SnowMan’s Review
“As an aside, now that the real Senator Specter from PA lost his primary bid, do they have to recast that role?” Good one.
I agree with brien sez.. lol.. but that would be interesting wick. not to say that it would be the best.. but you never know, right?
How about her and Halle Berry in a double bill?
Regarding Wick’s Review
Scarlett Jo – Unintentionally ridiculous? Perhaps…. but I was so distracted by her hotness, I never noticed! ;^)
