Summary - Very Good 3.5

A man newly without a country – procedurally trapped in the international transfer lounge at JFK. The possibilities for where to take a story like this are endless, and this movie takes advantage of all Tom Hanks has to offer. A clueless foreign national needing to learn how to survive inside JFK…. The zany circumstances and quirky personalities make this movie very engaging and it provides a smile-on-your-face experience,. Thumbs up!

Acting - Really Great 4.5

Tom Hanks is simply amazing. He can pull off talking like a Russian expatriate, generating toung-in-cheek humor, and enticing the beauty (Catherine Zeta Jones), all without appearing fake or forced. Stanley Tucci is also in a role made for him as the neurotic airport security director. The rest of the cast is great as well.

Film - Very Good 3.5

Speilberg calls upon his go-to guy Hanks once again. A much different movie than ‘Saving Private Ryan’, Speilberg knows exactly how to play on Hanks’ strengths and this movie shows it in spades.

    Regarding BrianSez’s Review
I remember this movie getting dissed when it came out. Happy to see that it’s more than worth a watch, though that shouldn’t be surprising given the supernova of talent in front of and behind the camera.
