A fun tribute to the 1960’s romantic comedy. Think Rock Hudson and Doris Day. This is a well done movie that will leave you smiling as the hardened and supposedly liberated love advice novelist is systematically disarmed by the well-oiled heart breaker. This movie is especially enjoyable if you enjoyed the old 60’s standbys, as nostalgia for good old fashioned sexual tension with a laugh is the central theme.
Classic Zellweger with a well done match by Ewan McGregor. A well done pairing and a great job with the witty banter and quick paced script. Sarah Paulson makes a great side-kick, and it was good to see Tony Randall
I really thought the film was well done. A special attention to detail was made with the 60’s theme and the pace and style in which the romantic comedies of the era were made. Kudos to Peyton Reed
